festive marketing

if you're in tropical melbourne today (dec 8) then jostle in for the final day of The Big Design Market, Royal Exhibition Building...over 250 'designer shops'...close to the amount of hand cut 'leaves' for our wall. say hello to our new range.

aand if you're in Hobart, get down to the Masonic Temple where there are many beautiful present possibilities to be procured at the market. our fave creative collective, DOT (Designed Objects Tasmania) will be hosting their very own pop-up shop, brimming with covetable wares & illuminated by a few fine grandeliers, of course!

profiled and postable

it's the news we hope all you lighting enthusiasts have awaited…  Pod Luxe is only 3 - 7 working days from a power point near you!  that's right, our luxurious leather pendants have joined the collection of unique homewares to dot the delightful shelves at hardtofind, and are ready to 'add to cart' pronto.
in honour of the new arrival, hardtofind have also given us our very own cyber spread.  so, after you've bagged yourself a couple of pendants (who can say no to free shipping?!), jump to their blog and peer into the grey matter that conjures these luminous creations.

up we pop shop

we love a good pop up.  a bite sized burst of unexpected innovation.  materialising overnight.  gone in a blink. leaving nothing in its wake but an unquenchable thirst for more spontaneous creativity.  well guess what adelaide? we've been informed that twenty ebenezer place is the temporary trove of 'special pieces sourced from lots of 'sources', chosen for their quality, uniqueness, style and soul'.  head to the one small room website for dates and times.  out of town?  fear not...  one small rooms beautiful and eclectic range of furniture, homewares and clothing also launched into their (permanent) refurbed digs in croydon today.  pop along!

hot in canada!

heads up for the new year (yep, it's only two months away folks!): "the midcentury look gets an update with bold new shapes and smart accent pieces".  think "natural stains, smoked glass and polished surfaces", and you have a room fit for a grandelier.  in their latest issue, canadian interiors mag, Western Living have perfectly perched a tas oak hoop amongst it's "modern vintage" peers and dubbed this fetching collective "the hottest furniture for 2013"!  awww, those canucks are all flattery.  many thanks must go to our stockist, spencer interiors, for shedding the light on tassie style in canada (wink, nudge).

the great (eco) outdoors

eco outdoor's blog Design Feeder harvests mighty alluring design food from la souplette bicycles to grassroots modern and beyond.  if you're in brisbane discover all that is 'beyond' in eco outdoor's fortitude valley store.  to find this empire of innovative exterior, and now interior, products just follow the light.  yes, the grandeliers are glowing in the window

eco festivities

one of my favourite windows, celebrating a season I didn't realise was little over a week away (!), poses alluringly at 51 balfour street in launceston. if you haven't already unloaded your wallet at ecoco, then a pre-christmas visit to this gorgeous store is a must. Di Loone has sourced the friendliest of eco homewares, jewels, clothes, stationary, luscious lotions (and grandeliers) that could possibly be stuffed in your stockings. hot tip- december 21st is their first birthday (hip, hip!), so pop in for some bubbly and do the last minute gift run in style! all the details over at their blog.

a merry grandelier

bringing festive cheer to all, without deploying the tinsel, our stylish friends at Twenty21 have illuminated their tree in Fitzroy with our sumptuous, new red flocked baroque!  their eclectic furniture and homewares store pays homage to quality 20th century design, as well as showcasing contemporary brilliance, like that of fellow apple islander and award winning furniture maker, Laura McCusker.  the clever clogs also have a hire service for those with eyes bigger than their bank accounts. hmmm, don't we all?  saunter on over to their website for a dose of tantalizing interiors porn... oh the legs on those scandinavians!  will now ponder a gold flocking treatment for the hoop grandeliers - baubles anyone?
